Since the lifting of martial law in 1987, our society has become freer and more open. In the wake of these changes, problems of public security have also become more diverse and complex, increasing the challenges that police forces must face in the performance of their duties.

Therefore, the education and training of police forces should aim not only to enhance combat skills such as judo, taekwondo, wrestling, and shooting etc, but also to raise an understanding of police practice, laws, regulations, psychology, emotional intelligence, and relevant areas necessary for achieving professionalism in the execution of duties.
