Taiwan is prone to earthquakes due to its position in the world’s most seismically active zone, known as the Ring of Fire.
We cannot avoid natural disasters. All we can do is strengthen disaster prevention and preparedness, take precautionary measures before disasters, and develop our response capability and resilience to reduce risks, mitigate damage, and protect people’s lives and property.
The drill was held on September 20, 9:21 a.m. During the drill, everyone should perform three life-saving steps in earthquakes: “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.” Join the earthquake drill with us! Be sure to protect your head and neck when an earthquake occurs.
2024-09-260New Taipei City Police Departmenthttps://www.police.ntpc.gov.tw/cp-3488-120068-2.htmlFor free! The CSI detective experience camp couldn’t be more interesting!
Although holding it annually, our Forensic Science Center rolls out inventive and attractive activities for the camp every year. It is a pity that you missed the chance to experience such an amazing event this year. Please hold on to the opportunity to join us next time!
This year, the camp featured a combination of environmental protection, creativity, and education. One of the most fascinating highlights was the forensic maze built of 100 second-hand cardboard boxes from the New Taipei Fruits and Vegetables Wholesale Market. There were six designed challenges inside the maze, awaiting children to step in and solve the tasks one by one.
Furthermore, there was a simulated rescue operation for a “missing case on campus”. It required clues such as fingerprints and criminal footprints to solve the mystery. We also divided all participants, including our mayor, commissioner, and children, into groups and conducted forensic quiz PKs, immediately testing how much forensic knowledge everyone had learned and remembered during the camp.

When the crowds flew away at night, we were the last ones left on the beach. On the last day of the "Ho-Hai-Yan Gongliao Rock Festival", the annual music event in Gongliao, we recorded the sweat and efforts under the police uniforms. The three-day event was finally wrapped up successfully. Mission completed!
We appreciate all colleagues devoted to this event, including the Public Order Division, the Drone Unit, the K-9 Unit, colleagues within the jurisdiction, and the traffic voluntary personnel. Everyone was working together to divide the work. Furthermore, the front-line colleagues were directing and diverting traffic when the outdoor temperature was beyond 32 degrees Celsius so that tourists arriving by car could enter smoothly.
Hence, Ruifang Precinct set up a police supply station to support the field colleagues in carrying out their duties smoothly in the sweltering heat, offering iced watermelon, biscuits, and a variety of cold drinks. The station also provided self-made gelidium jelly drinks and Sishen soup, and various dishes from sweet, salty, cold, to hot ones, relieving our fatigue from working under the scorching sun.
The event ended successfully this year. Thank you all!!!

#Police and Social Welfare Department work as one, bringing peace and harmony to the citizens #Thank you to the New Taipei Social Welfare Department for the gift
On the day before 615 Police Day, Li Mei-Zhen, Commissioner of the New Taipei City Social Welfare Department, led several supervisors to visit the NTPD in the morning, preparing apples to express their gratitude to the police partners. We have built long-term cooperation on issues including lost children, vulnerable families, lost elderly people, and women and children protection. With the professional support of police colleagues, the disadvantaged who need to be seen have been helped.
The apples symbolizing “peace” have been delivered to us for ten consecutive years. In addition to conveying blessings, they also strengthen mutual assistance and cooperation between the police and social affairs units.
In the future, we will continue to enhance horizontal cooperation, integrate all sectors of the city government, and uphold the faith of working as one, making ongoing efforts to the society.
2024-06-190New Taipei City Police Departmenthttps://www.police.ntpc.gov.tw/cp-3488-116900-2.htmlMeritorious work! Mayor Hou praised the NTPD Forensic CCTV Analysis Unit for relieving public panic.
When the press exposed the news that the wanted murderer escaping from a medical institution was arrested in Xinzhuang District on the night of May 22, many citizens flocked to the fan page to leave messages to thank the New Taipei police for ending the panic in recent days. On May 23, Mayor Hou also visited the office of the NTPD Forensic CCTV Analysis Unit to praise and encourage the members who took credit for solving this case. He affirmed that our colleagues could display their professionalism and team spirit at a critical moment of social panic and apprehend the suspect immediately.
We are truly grateful to all the project colleagues who braved the rain last night and also admire the speed and agility of the NTPD Forensic CCTV Analysis Unit members. They sacrificed all their break time, staring at the monitor screen constantly, only for the opportunity to bring suspect Jian to justice as soon as possible.
Finally, we would also like to thank citizens cooperating with the police in accessing private surveillance cameras during the investigation. Your support and the mutual assistance between the police and the public are indispensable and essential forces in maintaining social stability.
Once the NTPD Forensic CCTV Analysis Unit targets the suspect, there is no chance to hide or escape.
In the future, we will continue to fight, striving to maintain public security in New Taipei City!
