New Taipei City Police Department

While under the direction and supervision of the National Police Agency , the New Taipei City Police Department is a department which belongs to the New Taipei City Government . The agency,conducts jurisdictional police administrative affairs. Based on the present organizational structure, the Department is headed by a commissioner, along with three deputies and a Chief Secretary. They oversee the following units:

Public Order and Civil Defense Division, Foreign Affairs Division, Household Registration Division, General Affairs Division, Training Division, Duty Command Center, Civil Defense Operations Center,Special Police Corps, Traffic Police Corps, Secretariat, Inspectors Office, Personnel Office, Archives, Accounting Office, Public Security Office, Criminal Investigation Corps, Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Brigade, Public Relations Office. Scattered equally over the city are sixteen police precincts and 158 police stations. All these are directly under the supervision and management of the New Taipei City Police Department, with a total staff of 7,897 police personnel in 2013.
