Safety Tips for Taking Taxis
- Do not take a taxi with unclean windows or if it is hard to see inside through the windows.
- Do not take a taxi with strange decorations.
- Do not take a taxi without vehicle license or with unclear license plate number.
- Do not take a taxi if you find someone else is concealed in it.
- Do not take a taxi with a broken window switch or a missing door handle.
- It is better to sit right behind the driver so that you can react quickly if something takes place. (For example, you may grasp the steering wheel to produce a minor traffic accident and escape when the driver is being scolded by others.)
- When taking a taxi, you may ask one of your friends to note the name of the taxi company and/or the number of the vehicle license.
Travel Safety
- Inform your relatives, friends or neighbors of the destination, name of the hotel, and your telephone number.
- Do not leave the team when you join in a trip organized by a tourism agency.
- Select the destination of your journey carefully. Avoid being outside late at night.
- Do not display your personal property. Do not wear jewelry when going out alone.
- Carry protective equipment when going out.
Hotel Safety
- Select hotels carefully. Do not stay alone in small hotels in a questionable environment.
- Pay attention to the safety escape equipment and the emergency phone system before you enter the hotel.
- Check the washroom, wardrobe and balcony in the presence of the hotel servant after you check in.
- Pay attention to the safety of the doors, windows and locks in the hotel.
- Verify the identity of visitors carefully. Do not readily allow strangers to enter.
- Do not place valuable goods in the room.
- Use the elevator in the hotel as much as possible. Have someone accompany you if it is necessary to use staircases.
