On September 10, the Labor Affairs Department of New Taipei City Government organized the “The 10th Thailand Sepak Takraw Tournament and Loy Krathong Festival in New Taipei City “event at the Civic Plaza. Thirty-two teams, including three Taiwan teams, competed for the tournament championship.  In the meanwhile, citizens voted for the queen of the Loy Krathong Festival. In addition, the famous Thai singer Mike Piromporn was invited to perform at the festival, attracting crowds of audience to join the concert. The NTPD was also there to spread the knowledge of anti-fraud, anti-human trafficking, and related regulations. There are nearly 90 thousand foreign workers in New Taipei City currently, and more than seven thousand are Thai. We are grateful to have the opportunity to participate in such a joyful event, aiming to enhance the mutual understanding between our people by experiencing each other’s culture and custom in this festival, hoping our friendship will last forever.
