
New Taipei City Police Department is headed by a Commissioner and supported by three Deputy Commissioners and a Chief Secretary. The Department comprises eight divisions: the Administrative Division, Public Order Division, Training Division, Prevention and Control Division, Public Security Division, Foreign Affairs Division, Logistics Division, and Crime Prevention Division.
In addition, the Department includes nine offices: the Secretariat, Internal Affairs Office, Legal Affairs Office, Public Relations Office, Information Management Office, Accounting Office, Statistics Office, Personnel Office and Civil Service Ethics Office.
The organizational structure also consists of three centers—the Command and Control Center, Civil Defense Operation Center, and Forensic Science Center—and three corps: the Special Police Corps, Traffic Police Corps, and Criminal Investigation Corps. Furthermore, it operates two brigades: the Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Brigade and the Women and Children Protection Brigade.
The Department administers 16 precincts, 162 police stations, and 2 mountain checkpoints. The total authorized personnel quota is 11,070, with the 2025 budget allocated for 8,049 staff members.
